Dog Training

Does your adult dog need a little extra training to address specific issues? Or have you recently adopted a dog that needs a bit of behavior modification? Sometimes events from a dog's past can have a negative effect on their current behavior. We can help!

Getting Acquainted (For Newly Adopted Dogs)

A strong foundation of good behavior is important for a newly adopted pet. This private one-hour training session will give you the tools to form the kind of relationship you want with your new addition to the family.

Once you and your dog have developed a bond, our basic and advanced classes can further your dog's training.

Basic

Having a set of mutually understood commands between you and you dog enables meaningful communication and is essential to establishing a well-rounded relationship. Our basic sessions introduce your dog to common commands such as sit, down, stay, focus, come, heal and leave it.

Advanced

Our advanced sessions are customized to your dog's specific needs, determined in a thirty-minute pre-training consultation ($50, credited towards the balance of your second training session). Many advanced sessions focus on problem behaviors such as jumping, bolting, barking, digging, and nipping/biting. We will also address problem prevention and problem solving techniques.

*Training requires commitment and consistency. The owner has to work daily with the dog outside of training sessions for training to be successful. We do not guarantee that your dog will be "fixed." After training sessions, but we will do our very best to work with you and make a difference.
